Guacamole

Guacamole

Guacamole has two active ingredients that can help to lower levels of cholesterol in the blood. Scientific studies have shown that compounds in garlic suppress cholesterol production in the liver, reduce harmful LDL cholesterol and raise levels of the beneficial HDL cholesterol in the blood.

Avocados have a high content of mono-unsaturated fat, which lowers LDL cholesterol levels without lowering HDL cholesterol. Avocados are also a good source of the antioxidant vitamin E and contain some vitamin C, which can prevent the furring up of arteries
